Srinagar, Apr 19 (GNS): A mosque and few other structures were gutted in a massive fire in Gojwara area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday.
Reports reaching GNS said that a fire broke at around 3:35 PM from a mosque and soon after spread to few other structures in proximity. The raging flames were contained by the locals and personnel from fire & emergency department.
A Fire and Emergency Department official told GNS that fire was contained after hectic efforts. Local reports suggest that large number of youth put in their best efforts and contained the flames from spreading further. There was no loss of life or injury reported in the incident. Traffic to the busy road was disrupted for several hours. (GNS)
