Bandipora, Feb 28, GNS: Taking cognizance of the alleged assault on a Journalist, the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora on Monday ordered a probe to inquire the incident.
“In order to inquire into the alleged assault on a journalist namely Mr. Inam ul-Haq by the doctors in the office of Block Medical Officer Bandipora, Additional District Development Commissioner, Bandipora Is nominated as Inquiry officer to conduct a thorough inquiry,” reads an order issued by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad.
Moreover, the Inquiry officer has been asked to submit his report within a period of week’s time.
Pertinently, the journalist associated with JK Newspoint Bandipora had alleged that he was assaulted by a doctor while he was discharging his professional duties covering pulse polio immunization programmer at Pazalpora on Sunday.(GNS)
