Bandipora, July 15 (GNS): Scores of Power Development Department (PDD) daily wagers on Thursday staged protest demonstration against Government for not releasing three months long pending wages.
The protesters said their condition has worsened economically. “Our life has been made miserable due to non-payment of our salary for last three months. We are suffering. Our families are suffering,” said one of the PDD daily wagers.
The protesters said higher officers are pushing them to work without any life security and wages.
Meanwhile when contacted with Executive Officer PDD sub Division Sumbal said he has taken up the matter with the senior officers of the concerned department. “Hopefully their problem will be resolved in a day or two,” he added. (GNS)
