Baramulla, Jul 6 (GNS): Harvinder Singh on Tuesday assumed the charge as Sub-Divisional-Magistrate Uri, days after an order to the effect was made by the General Administration Department.
Singh as per the Government Order No. 569-JK (GAD) of 2021, Dated: 02.07.2021 has been asked to hold the charge of Sub-Registrar Uri in addition to his charge as SDM, till further orders.
The newly posted SDM interacted with officers and officials of the Sub-division today, who welcomed him and assured their full cooperation for the holistic development of the Sub-division.
Those attending the occasion also presented a brief profile of the Sub-division Uri. The newly appointed SDM impressed the participants to adopt a coordinated approach to achieve the goals set for development of the Sub-division, besides mitigating public issues on priority.
Pertinent to mention that the former SDM Uri was transferred by administration on April 18, 2021 and the post was lying vacant since then. (GNS)
