Kupwara, Jan 24 (GNS):District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Imam Din on Sunday visited Sogam and inspected Sub District Hospital (SDH) and took stock of problems faced by the people at ground level.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC)Kupwara Nazir Ahmed,Tehsildar Lolab Sogam,BMO Sogam ,SHO Sogam, representatives of PHE, PDD,R&B and other concerned officers accompanied DDC.
According to reports, the DDC inspected various wards of SDH and interacted with patients and enquired about the facilities being provided to them. He inspected various section of the hospital including OPD, IPD, X-Ray section and other units. The DDC checked duty roaster of the doctors and paramedical staff.
The DDC also inspected the newly constructed hospital building and assured latest facilities.
On the occasion, the inhabitants of Sogam put forward demand of female doctors and specialist for running ultrasound (USG) facility in the hospital.
The DDC heard them patiently and assured them proper redressal of their grievances. The DDC directed concerned BMO for maintaining patients record both during day and night.
Later, the DDC inspected various Lanes and by lanes of the Sogam town and took stock of snow clearance processes. (GNS)
