Uri (Baramulla), Oct 31 (GNS): A National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) employee, working as an electrician, received an electric shock during wire repairing at Salamabad Uri of north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday evening.
An official identifying the injured employee as Mohammad Shafi son of Ghulam Muhammad Parray, a resident of Balakote Uri told GNS that Shafi was injured of an electric jolt during wire repairing for NHPC-II at Salamabad Uri.
The injured employee, as per the official, was evacuated to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Uri for treatment, wherefrom he was later referred to Goverment medical college (GMC) Baramulla for advanced treatment.
Meanwhile a case has been registered at police station Uri to ascertain the cause of mishap. (GNS)
