JK-EJAC met at Srinagar to discuss the long pending demands of temporary workers and Govt. employees

Srinagar, Sep 20:(GNS) Jammu Kashmir Government Employees Joint Action Committee met at Srinagar to discuss the long pending demands of temporary workers and government employees.

In the meeting, the issue of long pending wages of temporary workers was highlighted as they are suffering a lot. General Secretary JK-EJAC(G), Mr SGR Geelani urged the UT and central Govt. especially the Lt. Governor Shri Manoj Sinha for taking immediate and necessary steps for resolving this humanistic and social issue on priorty basis by way of ammending discrimnatory SRO520, especially in the clause of 12 vouchers.Mr Geelani also urged the UT Govt. to ammend recruitment rules of different departments to create promotionary avenues and to clear the promotions which are pending since long and removal of pay anomalies in the various cadres of diffrent departments especially in all the wings of forest department, revenue,floriculture and irrigation departments.

While addressing the meeting, Mr Geelani urged rank and file of the organisation to energize themselves for the upcoming district level conventions to strenghthen the organization at gross root level.

The prominent leaders who addressed the meeting are A A Bandroo(State President), Gul Mohammad Mehndi(Advisor), Mohammad Iqbal Ganai, Ali Mohammad Mir, Mohammad Yousuf Wani, Nishat Ahmad Raina, Manzoor Ahmad Khan, Tahir Ahmad and others.(GNS)
