J&K Reports 546 New Covid-19 Cases, Srinagar Tally Crosses 9000 Mark

88 Travelers, 12 Minors Among Infected, 648 Covid-19 Patients Discharged

Srinagar, August 29 (GNS): The Jammu and Kashmir reported 546 new cases of novel coronavirus including 88 travelers, several security personnel besides six minors and two pregnant women,

taking the overall case tally to 36377.

Official sources told GNS that among the cases, 332 were reported from Kashmir Valley and 214 from Jammu division.

Giving district wise breakup of the cases, they said Srinagar reported 102, taking its total count to 9025 while Baramulla reported 18, Pulwama 105, Budgam 36, Anantnag22, Bandipora 49, Kupwara 31, Kulgam 12, Shopian 12 and Ganderbal 28.

Similarly, they said, Jammu district reported 134 new cases, Rajouri 9, Kathua 19, Udhampur 18, Samba 8, Ramban 1, Doda 10, Poonch 11, Reasi 4 while no case was reported in Kishtwar.

A number of these cases were detected at SKIMS and CD hospital labouratories, they said.

The Baramulla cases include male (42) from Pattan, male (65) from Sopore, male (75) from Pattan Baramulla.

The Pulwama cases include male (70) from Tral, female (65) from Awantipora Pulwama.

The Kupwara cases include male (31) from Machal, two males (27, 37) from Z Gali, male (18) from Tikker, male (60) from Panzgam Kupwara, male (36) from Magam Kupwara.

The Jammu cases include male (42) from Bori Jammu.

The CRPF cases include two males (41, 27) from Dig Snr North Srg, male (50) from 110 Bn Crpf Lethpora Pulwama, seven males (49, 41, 43, 38, 28, 46, 37) from Rtc Crpf Humhama Budgam, male (50) from 29 Bn Crpf Rawalpora Srg, female (47) from 135 Bn Crpf RTC-4 Humhama Budgam.

They said that 648 covid-19 patients were also discharged from various hospitals—119 from Jammu and 529 from Kashmir. (GNS)
