J&K reports 704 Covid-19 cases, Total 34480

96 Travelers, 23 CRPF And BSF Men Among Infected; 599 More Patients Discharged

Srinagar, Aug 25 (GNS): Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday reported 704 new covid-19 cases including 96 travelers, twenty three paramilitary CRPF and BSF men besides three minors and a doctor.

With these cases which also include some soldier and seven policemen take the overall tally to 34480 in J&K.

Among the cases, 195 were from Jammu division and 509 from Kashmir Valley, official sources told GNS.

Giving district-wise breakup of the cases, they said Srinagar reported 198, Baramulla 16, Pulwama 55,

Budgam 64, Anantnag 47, Kulgam 9, Shopian 9, Kupwara 49, Bandipora 22, Ganderbal 40, Jammu 98

Rajouri       17, Kathua 27, Udhampur 15, Ramban 3, Samba       12, Doda 7, Poonch 7 and Kishtwar 9.

Among the cases, a number of them were confirmed at CD hospital and SKIMS hospital diagnostic laboratories.

The SKIMS cases include a male (35) from Khanabal Anantnag, male (38) from Bemina, male (60) from Mehjoor Nagar, male (70) from Hyderpora, female (44) from Khanyar, female (29) from SKIMS, male (62) from Saidpora, female (20) from Fruit Mandi Parimpora, male (34) from SKIMS, male (15) from Nawakadal, female (30) from SKIMS Soura, male (68) from Elahibagh, female (46) from Khayam, male (18) from Peerbagh, male (31) from Batapora, female (45) from Pandach, female (60) from Rainawari, female (54) from Kanihama, male (70) from Soura, male (78) from Shivpora, male (70) from Qamarwari, female (35) from Umar Colony, male (64) from Nishat, female (55) from Ahmadnagar, two males (46, 70) from Barzulla Srinagar and a female (50) from Kulgam.

The Ganderbal cases include female (43) from Main Ganderbal, male (25) from Safapora, male (73) from Kangan, male (60) from Ganderbal, female (32) from NA Ganderbal, male (65) from Wanderwama Ganderbal.

The Baramulla cases include male (27) from Devar Pattan, male (48) from Sopore, female (15) from Pattan Baramulla.

The Pulwama cases include male (30) from Pampore, female (30) from Patalbagh Pampore, female (63) from Awantipora Pulwama.

The Budgam cases include female (55) from Tangnar, male (44) from Bhagat Mohalla Ichigam, female (24) from Konihama Beeru, male (49) from Ichgam, female (65) from Chichilora, two males (20, 38) and two females (17, 37) from Sozeith, female (25) from Sodipora, female (30) from Beerwah, two females (26, 04) from Churmujroo, male (06) from Beerwah, female (30) from Arwah, female (35) and male (12) from Lalpora, female (16) from Narwara, male (60) from Beerwah, male (46) from Rawalpora, two females (45, 23) from Najan, female (60) and two males (02, 20) from Charangam, female (70) and two males (33, 17) from Charisharief Budgam, male (40) from Khanda Budgam.

The Kupwara cases include five males (38, 37, 28, 24, 27) from Zangli Kupwara, five males (40, 36, 28, 25, 23) from IB Kupwara, three males (36, 39, 44) from Trehgam Kupwara, female (65) from Kandi Kupwara.

The CRPF cases include five males (43, 47, 39, 40, 56) from RTC 4 Humhama Budgam, four females (45, 26, 28, 24) from 232 Bn Crpf Humhama Budgam, four females (24, 24, 24, 53) from 135 Bn Crpf Humhama Budgam, male (49) from 110 Bn Crpf Lethpora Pulwama.

The BSF cases include five males (49, 29, 28, 28, 46) from Ch Bsf Humhama Srinagar.  

CD cases

Meanwhile, 599 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—126 from Jammu Division and 473 from Kashmir Valley. (GNS)
