422 New Covid-19 Cases In J&K, Tally Nears 29000 in J&K

55 Travelers, 35 Security Men Among Infected, 353 Patients Discharged

Srinagar, Aug 17 (GNS): Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported 422 fresh covid-19 cases including 55 travelers and 35 security forces personnel, taking the total count inch closer to 29000 mark.

Of these cases which took the overall count to 28892, 81 are from Jammu division and 341 are from Kashmir Valley including 20 from army’s BB Cantt, 14 CRPF and one police.

Giving district-wise breakup of the cases, official sources told GNS that Srinagar reported 48, Baramulla 9, Pulwama 42, Budgam 40,
Anantnag 43, Kulgam 15, Shopian 6, Kupwara 46, Bandipora 49, Ganderbal 43, Jammu 40, Rajouri 2
Kathua 11, Samba 10, Doda 6, Poonch 1, and Reasi 11.

In Kashmir, Srinagar tops the list with 6960 cases followed by Baramulla with 2438, Pulwama 2095, Budgam 1828, Kulgam 1712, Shopian 1576, Anantnag 1815, Kupwara 1571, Bandipora 1476 and Ganderbal 963.

In Jammu division, Jammu district has 2005 cases, Rajouri 788, Ramban 624, Kathua 674, Udhampur 649, Samba 577, Doda 343, Poonch 329, Reasi 288 and Kishtwar 181.

A number of cases were confirmed at CD and SKIMS Soura diagnostic laboratories.
The CD cases include male (30) from Pampore, male (40) from Gulzarpora Pulwama, female (60) from Malikpora Pulwama, female (30) from Chorsu Awantipora, male (75) from Bijbehara, female (60) from Wallerhama, sixteen males (35, 28, 32, 46, 47, 35, 35, 31, 34, 26, 36, 37, 35, 44, 43, 34) from BB Cantt Srinagar, male (NA) from Budgam, male (70) from Chadoora Budgam, female (35) from Bemina, female (60) from Alochibagh Srg, male (33) and female (51) from Srinagar, female (47) from Sundipora Budgam, female (35) from Khankahi Mohalla Srg, female (35) from Lal Chowk Srg, NA (47) from Hyderpora Srg, male (58) from Indra Nagar Srg, male (40) from Peerbagh Srg, two males (56, 45) from Jawahar Nagar Srg, NA (55) from Zadgar Srg, male (20) from Maqdoom Sahib Srg, female (30) from Nowhatta Srg, male (42) from Lal Bazar Srg, male (25) from Nowshera Srg, female (60) from Balgarden Srg, male (45) from Srinagar, male (55) from Palpora, female (NA) from Chadoora, male (32) and two females (60, 22) from Koil, female (27) from Tral, female (32) from Payer, female (60) from Alyarpora, two females (17, 40) from Pinjoora, male (65) from Tangmarg, male (27) from Chakloo, male (80) from Lolipora Pattan, female (55) from Handwara, male (40) from Sopore, male (58) from Handwara, female (28) from Ushkara, female (45) from Baramulla, male (19) from Drash, male (29) from Bellow, four males (51, 31, 29, 51) from CRPF 182 Pulwama, male (30) from PC/ Zainapora, female (49) from Adlash, male (30) from Wallerhama, female (40) from Chowgund Verinag, male (50) from Pranbawan Mattan, female (22) from CS Pora, female (52) and male (55) from Zakura, male (28) from Ahalan, male (20) and three females (33, 29, 40) from Peer Takiya, female (45) from Zewana Srg, male (25) from Ganderbal, male (21) from Soura Srg, male (60) from Mujamarg.

SKIMS Cases
The cases from Srinagar include male (40) from Dulbagh, two males (56, 49) from Alamgiri Bazar, male (35) from Batpora, female (37) from Gulabagh, two females (25, 17) from Bemina, female (30) from Batamaloo, female (60) from Lal Bazar, female (40) from Soura, male (42) and two females (65, 35) from Brane, female (44) from Karan Nagar, male (42) from NA Srinagar, male (60) from Bemina, male (40) from Saderbal, female (63) from Soura, female (62) from Lal Bazar, female (80) from Sakidaffar, female (58) from Lal Bazar, male (28) from Hawal Srinagar.

The Budgam cases include female (64) and male (45) from Humhama Budgam, male (87) from Chadoora Budgam. The Baramulla cases include male (26) from Sopore Baramulla.

The Kupwara cases include female (50) from Halmatpora Kupwara. The Pulwama cases include male (20) from Kakapora Pulwama.
The BB Cantt cases include two males (29, 24) from BB Cantt Srinagar. The CRPF cases include male (38) from 132 Bn Crpf Sanat Nagar Srg, male (28) from 49 Bn Crpf Karan Nagar Srg, male (27) from 28 Bn Crpf Bemina Srg, male (45) from 181 Bn Crpf Nishat Srg, male (40) from 43 Bn Crpf Humhama Srinagar.

Moreover 353 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 89 from Jammu Division and 264 from Kashmir Valley. (GNS)
