‘Be Alert, Ensure Health Protocol Followed by Everyone as Per Govt Guidelines’
Srinagar, Jul 29 (GNS): Director General of Police Jammu & Kashmir Dilbagh Singh on Wednesday visited parts of Srinagar city area to take stock of the security and deployment arrangements on the eve of upcoming Eid festival.
The top-officer was accompanied by the IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar and SSP Srinagar Haseeb Mughul and respective zonal SSPs of the City.
During the tour, Singh interacted with territorial officers and jurisdictional officers, deployed across the City.
During the tour, Singh visited Residency Road, Jahangir Chowk, Batamalo, Karan Nagar, SMHC, Khanyar, Dalgate and took foreshore road to visit Nishat.
The tour was primarily aimed at taking stock of the on ground security measures and deployment of forces in the City.
While interacting with the territorial officers the, Singh directed them to be alert and cautious as the “anti-national elements are hellbent to disturb the peaceful environment.”
Singh directed the officials to ensure people friendly atmosphere in view of ensuing EID festival even as exhorting to maintain peace and order amid ensuring that health protocols are being followed by every one as per the government guidelines.
DGP directed the officers to take due care of the personnel deployed on Nakas and other duties.
Singh said that “good coordination with other security forces on ground is to be maintained for achieving desired outputs.”
The Zonal SSPs and other territorial officers briefed the DGP about the security measures being taken and deployment of forces on ground in their respective areas.
Pertinent to mention here that the Eid-al-Adha celebrations will commence on August 1 and culminate on August 3 in the sub-continent. (GNS)
